ST. LOUIS (BVM) – Sonny Gray’s 2024 campaign was not as strong as his Cy Young-runner-up season in 2023, but he is still a quality pitcher. If he becomes available, the 35-year-old could be coveted in the trade market.
Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Dispatch reported that the St. Louis Cardinals have reached out to other teams gauging the interest levels of their veterans such as Gray and Nolan Arenado.
Gray had a 3.84 ERA with 203 strikeouts across 166 ⅓ innings in 2024.
