Q&A with Longmeadow football player Atticus Snow

LONGMEADOW, Mass. — We are going to disprove the stereotype that most high school football players are dimwitted Neanderthals. Or, from back in the day, Jocks.

LHS senior football captain, Atticus Snow is far from dim and his life doesn’t begin and end in the athletic arena. What drew us toward Atticus to find out more about him was how humble he is. He is a three-sport star for Longmeadow High School adding basketball and lacrosse to his busy schedule. Yet, you’ll never see him talking about himself. Some people need how good they are verified and creatively search for ways to feel gratified. If Atticus thinks he is good, you’d never know it.

Mom and Dad have always encouraged Atticus to “share his strength” and it is something that Atticus has definitely taken to heart. At home, at school and on his teams even as a kindergartener, coaches and teachers have shared how Atticus is a good leader and how he would make a point of including kids and being kind to students who needed extra help or just needed a friend.
