Track and Field Sets Five School Records in Opening Weekend of the Indoor Season
NEW YORK / BOSTON – The NJIT track and field teams set five school records this weekend at the Armory Collegiate Distance Carnival, Sharon Colyear Danville Season Opener in Boston, and Youree Spence-Garcia Invitational at Ocean Breeze Complex. Jessie Fotheringham is the first Highlander in program history to run a sub-17-minute 5K, breaking the school record in 16:34.31 at the Sharon Colyear Danville Season Opener.
