No. 28 Shockers Set Program Win Streak Record, Advance to Semifinals

HOUSTON — Top-seeded Wichita State defeated eighth-seeded UAB, 4-0, in the quarterfinals of the American Championship on Friday at the George R. Brown Tennis Center. The Shockers (20-3) extended their winning streak to 18 matches with the victory, setting a program record. Wichita State also advanced to the semifinals of the American Championship for the first time since 2018. In doubles, Anne Knuettel and Vichitraporn Vimuktananda collected a quick 6-1 win at No. 3 to give the Shockers the early edge.
