South Salem athlete wins Maps Credit Union boys Athlete of the Week

South Salem baseball player Blake Kansky is the winner of the Maps Credit Union high school boys Athlete of the Week, as voted by Statesman Journal readers. A senior, Kansky pitched a full seven innings, struck out six batters and allowed just three hits April 22 in the Saxons' 8-1 win over Liberty. Kansky received 89.47% of the reader poll votes.
