UIS Men’s Basketball Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award; Five Named to Honors Court

The UIS men's basketball program has been recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for its success in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year, earning the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award and placing five student-athletes on the NABC Honors Court. The Prairie Stars posted a 3.32 team grade-point average during the 2025-26 academic year to earn the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. The honor recognizes men's basketball programs that achieve a team GPA of 3.0 or higher for the academic year.
