Blue Jays sign recently DFA’d pitcher Michael Lorenzen

Amid their plethora of pitcher injuries, the Toronto Blue Jays have signed Michael Lorenzen. Lorenzen was released by the Colorado Rockies after being designated for assignment on Aug. 17. According to Sportsnet's Shi Davidi, he had a locker in the Jays' ahead of Thursday's game against the Kansas City Royals. The starter will now get a prorated portion of the major-league minimum, per Sportsnet's Shi Davidi, with Colorado responsible for the remainder of his $8 million salary this season.
