Army Battles No. 7 West Virginia to the Wire, Falling 2-1 on Sunday

WEST POINT, N.Y. — Army West Point women’s soccer battled No. 7 West Virginia to a 1-1 deadlock through 67 minutes before the unbeaten Mountaineers scored late to escape with a 2-1 win Sunday at Malek Stadium at Clinton Field. West Virginia improved to 4-0-0 with the result, while Army fell to 2-4-0 in front of a season-high crowd of 416.
