Nationally-Ranked Captains Host Two Games at Home This Weekend Including Friday Night Tilt Versus Hardin-Simmons

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — After opening the season with a shutout against Methodist on Tuesday evening, the nationally-ranked Christopher Newport women’s soccer team will host two more games this weekend to round out a busy opening week. The Captains (1-0-0) will welcome Hardin-Simmons University on Friday night for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff before also entertaining Chapman University on Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. It will be the first matchup ever for Christopher Newport against either the Cowgirls from Texas or the Panthers from California.
