ALAMEDA, Calif. — Cal State East Bay battled Western Washington on Monday afternoon, falling 3-1 at the Oakland Roots Practice Facility. Western Washington opened the scoring in the eighth minute when Chloe Van Wey converted a free kick to give the Vikings an early 1-0 advantage. East Bay responded in the 23rd minute. Jenna McDonnell played a through ball from midfield that sent Kella Folkerts into a one-on-one opportunity with the goalkeeper.
