Second-Half Rally Falls Short as War Hawks Drop Home Opener

ABILENE, Texas – McMurry Women’s Soccer dropped a hard-fought 3-2 decision to Texas Lutheran on Tuesday evening at Wilford Moore Stadium in its first home match of the season. The Bulldogs took an early lead in the seventh minute and doubled their advantage in the 27th minute via a penalty kick to take a 2-0 edge into halftime. McMurry goalkeeper Cadence Foulkrod kept the War Hawks within striking distance during the opening frame, turning away four shots on target.
