Helminiak, Giusto, and Leitzen Garner American Rivers Conference Athlete of the Week Honors

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Three Duhawks have earned American Rivers Conference Athlete of the Week honors, the conference office announced Monday afternoon. From football, Joey Helminiak is earning his first Offensive Athlete of the Week award following an impressive week one performance in the Duhawks 31-16 win over St. Olaf College. The senior from Dubuque, Iowa completed 21 of his 36 pass attempts, threw for 383 yards, which was the second most in all of Division III in week one, and accounted for four touchdowns, with three of them being through the air.
