WestConn Men’s Golf Wins Mitchell Invitational

GROTON, Conn. – Sophomore Matthew Hayes (New Milford, Conn.) took medalist honors with a 74 to lead the Western Connecticut State University Wolves to first place in the Mitchell College Men’s Golf Invitational at Shennecossett Golf Course this afternoon. WestConn totaled 310 as a squad to take first place by 10 strokes over the Rhode Island College Anchormen. Hayes won the individual title by two strokes over Rhode Island College’s Mike DeCesare.
