Men’s Tennis Wraps up Day One of ITA Regional Championships
ST. LOUIS, MO. – Day one of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Championships came to an end Friday, Sept. 23 in St Louis. The Illinois Wesleyan University men’s tennis team sent senior Carter Burk (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal U High) and junior Ryan McCoy (Arlington Heights, Ill.-Rolling Meadows) to compete in the opening, 64-field, round of doubles play. McCoy, along with freshman Ian Turnbull (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) took part in singles action. Both McCoy and Turnbull take on the ITA’s for the first time in their career, as Burk returned for the second-straight season and third time in his career.
