Erie Tigers QB Evan Rearick receives invitation to Blue-Grey All-American Bowl

ERIE, Colo. — Evan Rearick is #11 varsity quarterback for the Erie Tigers! His focus right now is on helping his teammates and Erie High School have a successful season and getting them back to the state tournament.

Evan loves being part of a team. It has taught him that he needs to do his job the best that he can so that his teammates can be successful.  He believes a team is only as strong as its weakest link, so the stronger they all become, the better their team will do.

His pre-game ritual is listening to the same playlist before every game to get himself pumped up. He mentally focuses on the plays they will run in the game. He envisions what his reads may be, what coverage the defense will line up in, as well as going over the playbook one more time. Evan feels a sense of accountability to his teammates and one of his biggest fears is letting them down.

When he’s not practicing or playing football, Evan likes to go to the gym with his friends. He plays basketball at the park and golfs. Evan loves spending time with his family and his girlfriend, Hope. He tried snowboarding but when he realized that ice hits a lot harder than a defensive player, he decided to give it up for now.

When asked what he loves about playing football, Evan says, “I love football for the opportunities it has given me so far, with the offer to be an All-American in the Blue-Grey All-American game this month as well as the amazing friends I have made along the way.”

Evan speaks to the pride he takes in the Erie Tiger program, the friends he has made and is truly honored to be given the opportunity to compete in multiple Blue-Grey Combines. The chance to play in the All-American game with the nation’s best players is extremely humbling, and he is so grateful that he was given an invitation to play.

You might ask… What is the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl? Well, on a yearly basis, the nation’s best compete in the game to receive national exposure and increase their chances of securing scholarships to a college. It is also a fun opportunity to get some quality coaching from former NFL players. This year Seneca Wallace will coach for the East and Ken Still leading the West side. Tune into ImpactFootballNetwork.com on December 19th at 1:00 pm CST to watch Evan play for the West side!

Keep your eye on this Erie Tiger…I’m sure we will see great things to come!
