Mount Notre Dame HS unveils new scoreboard
CINCINNATI — Mount Notre Dame High School has unveiled a brand new scoreboard for the Sister Dorothy Stang Memorial Field.
The new scoreboard features LED numerals that can easily be seen in the daylight. An additional scoreboard positioned on the concession building was also added, allowing players and coaches to see the score/timer without having to step onto the field.
A donation from Montgomery residents Beth and Hal Pisciotta enabled the school to buy and install the new scoreboard. The Pisciottas are parents of Sarah Pisciotta ’15 and Maria Pisciotta ’17, both of whom were very involved in Athletics while at MND.
Sarah Pisciotta was a member of the state final four field hockey teams in 2013 and 2014 and was named first-team All-Southwest Ohio Field Hockey League in 2014. She has been coaching field hockey at MND for the last four years, with the last three as head varsity coach. Her leadership took the Cougars to the State Finals in 2021.
Maria Pisciotta played volleyball and basketball for Mount Notre Dame. During that time, she was a three-time state champion. She was a part of the 2013 and 2014 state champion volleyball teams as well as the 2017 state championship basketball team. She was selected second-team All-Girls Greater Catholic League in basketball in 2016.
