Former Central Michigan track and field standout Alex Rose has been a star thrower since high school. After competing in the 2016 Rio Olympics, Rose will return to the games in Tokyo this summer aiming to earn Samoa’s first medal in the Summer Olympics.
Also a former member of the USA Sled Hockey team, Brooklynn Crist has developed into a track star during her time at Cloverleaf High School, and just won three more state titles to finish her prep career as an eight-time state champion.
Jayden Ulrich has been an elite talent for the East Alton-Wood River High School track and field team. In her senior season, the Indiana commit closed her prep career by making state-record throws in both the shot put and discus while also winning state titles in both events.
The Saginaw Valley State University Cardinals swept the GLIAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year awards as impressive sophomore Cheyenne Williamson took home the honor on the women’s side, while record-setting senior Sam Black did so for the men.
The Marvin family name is well known in the Byron, Mich. area due to their successes in several sports. Now, Byron High School senior, Sarah Marvin, is adding to the family legacy with her athletic excellence, specifically as a shot put and discus thrower.
