Historic Season Ends in NCAA Finals
EUGENE, Ore. — Tashina Alase's historic season came to a close Saturday evening in the women's 100-meter hurdles final at the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field. Alase broke cleanly from the blocks and was stride-for-stride early with Oregon's Aaliyah McCormick and Kentucky's Emmi Scales. A slight hesitation at the sixth hurdle disrupted her rhythm and cost valuable momentum, and she crossed the line in 13.18 seconds to place eighth in the nation.
