Two-time Gatorade Arkansas Volleyball Player of the Year continuing family tradition of being a Razorback
Clara Parker led the Jonesboro Lady Hurricanes volleyball team to the program’s third-ever undefeated season as a senior. Driven by success, the two-time Gatorade Arkansas Volleyball Player of the Year is continuing her career on the court with the Razorbacks.
Corrine Furey was a staple on Ursuline Academy volleyball courts since she first started for the varsity program as an eighth grader. While she has seen successes like a state championship victory, this season she faced a different adversity after a knee injury forced her to miss her senior year. Now, the young athlete will look to translate her high school success to Harvard University where she will play this fall.

Only 13,000 people live in Steamboat Springs, which is known more for skiing than anything else. But it’s also where a star volleyball player grew up. Katie Carter-Gutierrez, a 2003 Steamboat Springs High School grad, went on to be a standout at UCLA before playing a decade professionally. Now, she’s a new inductee into the Colorado High School Activities Association Hall of Fame.
Senior outside hitter Chey Jones became Tahoma High School’s first-ever recipient of the Gatorade Washington Volleyball Player of the Year award. She led the Bears to the 2019 WIAA 4A state volleyball championship and will continue her play on the court and on the beach at Boise State University this fall.
