Cal State Fullerton men’s basketball nabs transfers from Tennessee, UCF
FULLERTON, Calif. (BVM) – A day after announcing the signing of University of San Francisco transfer Damari Milstead, Cal State Fullerton head men’s basketball coach Dedrique Taylor on Wednesday introduced another pair of additions to the program.
Ibrahim Doumbia is the cousin of former NBA player Cheick Diallo and joins the Titans after two active seasons at the University of Central Florida. The 6-foot-7 forward played in five games at UCF during his redshirt junior 2020-21 season and appeared in 21 games as a redshirt sophomore. His collegiate career began at South Carolina where he played in 12 games off the bench as a freshman during the 2017-18 season.

“I cannot say enough about his character and the type of young man he is,” Taylor said in a press release. “Adding Ibrahim to the Titan Family will give us maturity and provide us with depth. His work ethic will immediately impact our culture and lead us toward success. I am excited about his value, the experience he brings to our program both on and off the floor is invaluable.”
Another 6-foot-7 forward will join the Titans next season in the form of Tennessee transfer E.J. Anosike. He saw action off the bench in 22 games, including 15 SEC contests, for the Volunteers last season after three years at Sacred Heart University where he was All-NEC first team in 2020.

“E.J. is pursuing his MBA which is unique itself, but his maturity extends well beyond his age,” Taylor said in a press release. “His energy is contagious along with his desire to win. He has been very productive and efficient over the course of his career. His style of play is unique but one that I have coveted for a very long time. He is driven by one thing, winning. Our program is in need of his type of mentality and work ethic. Needless to say, I am excited to be a part of his success.”
