Hailey Russo on the attack for Clearview High’s girls lacrosse

MANTUA, N.J. — Hailey Russo is a star in the making for Clearview’s Girls lacrosse team. She didn’t start playing lacrosse until fifth grade. Russo wishes she would’ve started playing when she was younger. During her freshman year she scored 85 goals for the Pioneers. That’s pretty outstanding, and coach Conklin said “She’s a phenomenal attacker. We obviously asked her to do a lot more than just play the attacking position.” She scored 64 goals her sophomore year.

Russo is going into her senior year this month and she has a bright future ahead of her. Russo was named Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year for the second time. Russo was selected to play in the UA All American game, and she was also awarded the USA South All American award.

Russo is going to continue her career at the University of Maryland. She is very excited for what the future holds. Coach Conklin believes in her and sees big accomplishments soon to come.
