8. Jalil Smith, DL, Abraham Lincoln

The fourth-best defensive lineman in the state can be a dependable threat in any defensive scheme. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound edge rusher helped Lincoln reach the playoffs but would fall short. And with a 4-6 record, Smith will be hungry to help the Railspliters make a deep playoff run. However, Smith is also gearing up for the next level of competition. With offers from Bowling Green, Temple and Stony Brook, Smith decided to stay home and team up with Goddard at Syracuse.
