ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (BVM) – While the state of New Mexico may not be renowned for its football superiority compared to nearby states of California and Texas, that doesn’t mean the state is devoid of NFL talent. The biggest city in the state, Albuquerque, is unsurprisingly home to many of the top players in New Mexico. Although Pro Football Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott was born in Albuquerque, he cannot be included as a true Albuquerque NFL star as he was only born in the city, growing up and playing high school football in California.
