Top 10 Texas RBs for 2022 HS football season
8. Lloyd Avant, Jr., Summer Creek
Avant was third-team All-East Texas last season as a sophomore. The 5-foot-9, 190-pound back rushed for 1,794 yards and 27 touchdowns on 190 carries. Avant helped Summer Creek High School go 10-4 last season and since then he has been getting attention from multiple Division I programs. The Bulldogs lost senior running back Torrie Curry who also rushed for over 1,000-yards but as long as Summer Creek has Avant for the next two seasons, the offense will be in good hands.
Congratulations to @HumbleISD @HumbleISD_Ath @HumbleISD_SCHS @SummerCreekFB RB, @avant_lloyd, after his 213 yd rushing effort, with 6 TD’s vs Channelview in a 55-28 playoff win. Meet him tonight at 9:45 pm @FOX26Houston. pic.twitter.com/SbxIy2wFbA
