Top 10 Illinois boys basketball players in Class of 2023
7. Miles Rubin, PF, Simeon
Rubin is another player on this list who has tantalizing upside. At 6-foot-9, Rubin moves well while also maintaining a strong presence inside. Last season at Simeon, he averaged around 16 points and 10 rebounds per game, helping lead the Wolverines on a trip to the state tournament where they would fall just short of competing in the title game. Another important piece of Simeon’s squad last year and for the upcoming season is Rubin’s twin brother, Wesley, who also stands 6-foot-9. The twins will look to take care of unfinished business at Simeon this season. After that, Wesley will head off to Northern Iowa, while Miles will stay home to play for Drew Valentine at Loyola Chicago.
