Junior forward Roy Tarpley paved the way with 19.4 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. Sophomore Antoine Joubert added 13.4 and 5.7 assists per contest. And freshman point guard Gary Grant played a major supporting role as well. Michigan closed at No. 2 in the final AP Poll and won a tournament game.
