Led by second-year forward Phil Hubbard (19.6 PPG, 13 RPG) and senior guard Rickey Green (19.5 PPG), the Wolverines went 16-2 in-conference and waltzed to a Big Ten title. U of M outscored the opposition by over 11 points per game. Coach Johnny Orr’s team advanced to the regional final in that year’s NCAA Tournament.
