Ranking the top 10 Chicago Blackhawks players of all time

Honorable mention

Keith Magnuson, D (1969-80)

A two-time national champion at the University of Denver, Magnuson helped set the tone for the Blackhawks through the ’70s. As a captain, he helped lead the team to the Stanley Cup Final in 1971 and 1973.

The Blackhawks retired the former captain’s No. 3 jersey in 2008.

Chris Chelios, D (1990-99)

For nine seasons, Chelios called Chicago home. He scored 93 goals and dished out 395 assists. He’s also a three-time Norris Trophy winner, an annual award given to the NHL’s best defensive player.

Patrick Sharp, LW (2005-15, 2017-18)

A three-time Stanley Cup champion, Sharp did what he could to help the Blackhawks win. With Chicago, he registered 749 total points (249 goals and 283 assists).

Jeremy Roenick, C (1988-96)

Drafted by the Blackhawks in 1988, Roenick registered 596 points (267 goals and 329 assists). He played in nine All-Star games, with four of those coming as a Blackhawk.

Marian Hossa, RW (2009-2018)

Hossa’s tenure in Chicago started when he signed a 12-year, $62.8 million deal and he quickly turned into a key player in the squad’s latest championship run. During his time in the Windy City, he recorded 415 points (186 goals, 229 assists).

On Nov. 20, Hossa became the latest Blackhawks player to have his number retired.
