Toews quickly made an impact in Chicago, becoming the third-youngest captain in NHL history at the time. Toews continued to impact the Blackhawks, who won Stanley Cups in 2010, 2013 and 2015. During the 2010 run, he won the Conn Smythe Trophy, given to the MVP of a team during the NHL’s Stanley Cup playoffs. Winning that award made Toews the second-youngest ever to earn the honor.
Moreover, Toews was named one of the NHL’s 100 greatest players in 2017.
