Top 10 special teams return specialists in NFL history
10. Desmond Howard (1992-2002)
Though Howard never quite lived up to the hype he had as a Heisman Trophy winner coming out of Michigan, the one thing that transferred over from his collegiate career was his returning ability. Howard had eight return touchdowns in his career, all on punts while racking up 2,895 punt return yards in his career, No. 14 all time, and 7,959 kickoff return yards, No. 9 all time. He is also the lone return man to ever be named a Super Bowl MVP after he returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown in Super Bowl XXXI.
