Honorable mention

Ron Baxter (1976-80)

A three-time first-team all-conference player and Southwest Conference co-Player of the Year in 1980, Baxter racked up 40 double-doubles during his time in Austin, and sits sixth in career points at Texas with 1,897, as well as fifth in career rebounds with 916.

Kris Clack (1995-99)

Clack averaged 13.3 points and 6.4 rebounds across his four seasons at Texas, finishing 10th all time in program history in scoring with 1,592 points, and eighth all time in rebounds with 771. Clack was also a tremendous defender, and is second all time in steals at Texas with 239.

Johnny Moore (1975-79)

A tremendous point guard who started all 112 games of his Texas career, Moore is the Longhorns’ all-time assists leader with 714, and also holds the record for most assists in a single game with 19, a feat he accomplished twice in 1978-79.

LaSalle Thompson (1979-82)

The 6-foot-10 center was tremendous in Austin, as he averaged a double-double nearly all three seasons of his Texas career. Thompson is third all time in program history when it comes to rebounds with 1,027, and ninth all time in blocks with 145.

Joey Wright (1988-91)

After beginning his college career at Drake, Wright transferred to Texas where he flourished, averaging 18.8 points across his final three collegiate seasons. Wright’s 1,819 career points rank as the seventh-best in Texas program history, while he is tied for eighth all time in steals with 165.
