Top 10 Texas Longhorns basketball players of all time

10. Chris Mihm (1997-2000)

Mihm wasn’t necessarily a pure scorer like some on this list, but the 7-footer’s presence inside on both ends of the floor was special during his time in Austin. As just a freshman, he averaged eight rebounds and an impressive 2.9 blocks to go along with 12.8 points. He would average at least 2.6 blocks and 10.5 or more rebounds the next two seasons, also upping his scoring average to 17.7 as a senior. Mihm was twice named to the Big 12 All-Defensive team and All-Big 12 first team in addition to being named a consensus first-team All-American in 2000. His name can be found all over the Longhorns record books as well, as he is the program leader in blocks (264), second all time in double-doubles (47), and fourth all time in rebounds (945). Mihm also racked up 90 blocks in two of his three seasons at Texas, and had multiple seven-block games, as well as an eight-block performance as a senior, just one shy of the program record.
