Bower became the starting goalie for Toronto after playing in just 77 games with the New York Rangers. “Bower’s four Stanley Cups highlighted his accomplishments. He won the Vezina Trophy, an annual award given to the NHL’s best goaltender, twice. He still leads the team with 13,468 career saves.
Bower entered the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1976.
