Most rushing touchdowns by NFL QBs in a single season

11 – Tobin Rote, Green Bay Packers, 1956

Just six years after Lujack, Rote matched his fellow quarterback with 11 rushing scores of his own for the Packers. However, Rote proved to be much more efficient in the pocket than Lujack as he threw for a league-leading 2,203 yards and 18 touchdowns while rushing for 398 yards and 11 scores. This mark would stand as the NFL record for 20 years.
