College basketball’s top 10 freshmen so far in 2022-23 season
2. Gradey Dick, F, Kansas
Dick has stepped right in to mask the losses of Ochai Agbaji and Christian Braun for the defending champion Kansas Jayhawks, and has played well alongside the likes of Jaylen Wilson, Kevin McCullar Jr. and Dajaun Harris Jr. It didn’t take long for Dick to prove his talent at the college level, scoring 23 points in Kansas’ season opener against Omaha. He put up 25 points against NC State a few games later, and has shown a sweet shooting stroke throughout the year, shooting over 49% from 3-point range. Averaging around 16 points and over four rebounds per game, Dick’s continued emergence could be what leads Kansas to another conference championship in a tough Big 12.
