The Cowboys’ transfer window was shocking after the surprise entry of starting running back Dominic Richardson and promising up-and-comer Braylin Presley. Things continued to trend in a disappointing direction for head coach Mike Gundy and his staff as three of the team’s five leading receivers transferred away, along with long-time starting quarterback Spencer Sanders. With a plethora of talent on both sides of the ball finding new opportunities elsewhere, the Cowboys find themselves in a difficult spot for 2023 as they were unable to land some of the same impact talent from the portal.
