5. Kendall Gill
Another core member of the Flyin’ Illini, Gill earned first-team All-America honors in 1990 after leading the Big Ten in scoring at 20 points per game. The year prior, Gill helped lead Illinois to the 1989 Final Four, their first appearance in that round of the NCAA Tournament in 47 years.
Gill was the ultimate postseason representative for the Illini as he helped Illinois make the NCAA Tournament in each of his four seasons at the school. The star still ranks 22nd on the Illini career scoring list with 1,409 points and is also third on the Illini career steals list with 218.
