9. Aaron Ward, D (2001-06, 2009-10)

Ward’s career began with the Winnipeg Jets in 1991. He landed in Raleigh 10 years later after being traded from the Detroit Red Wings. Ward played an instrumental part in the Hurricanes winning the Stanley Cup in 2006.

He’d only record 67 points as a Hurricane.
