Ranking the 5 biggest deals in NBA trade deadline history
Honorable mention
Ray Allen to Seattle (2003)
Ray Allen, Milwaukee’s star at the time, was traded to the Seattle Supersonics for Gary Payton and Desmond Mason. The Sonics also received Kevin Ollie, Ronald Murray, and a conditional first-round pick in the deal.
The Sonics didn’t make the playoffs that year, and the Bucks were knocked out of the playoffs by the New Jersey Nets in the first round.
No. 1: February, 2002 — #Bucks trade G Ray Allen to the Seattle SuperSonics for Gary Payton and Desmond Mason. Arguably the worst trade in Wisconsin sports history, and Ray was one of my all-time favorite athletes to cover. One of the best. pic.twitter.com/o9uCVYQP3J

Cavaliers trade for first-round pick (2011)
The Cleveland Cavaliers traded Jamario Moon and Mo Williams to the Los Angeles Clippers for Baron Davis and a first-round pick. The deal was significant for Cleveland as the Clippers won the draft lottery, and the Cavaliers selected Kyrie Irving as the No. 1 overall pick.
Irving played an integral part in the Cavaliers winning their only title in team history.
James Harden to Philadelphia (2022)
Last season, James Harden and Paul Millsap were dealt to the Philadelphia 76ers for Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, Ben Simmons and two first-round draft picks.
