5. Dikembe Mutombo to Philadelphia (2001)
Mutombo had been named to seven of the last eight All-Star teams before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. The first-place 76ers sent Toni Kukoc, Pepe Sanchez, Nazr Mohammed and Theo Ratliff to Atlanta for Mutombo and Roshown McLeod.

Philadelphia had championship aspirations after the trade was completed, and alongside MVP Allen Iverson, the team reached the NBA Finals. They fell to the Los Angeles Lakers in five games.
Mutombo averaged 11.7 points, 12.4 rebounds and 2.5 rebounds that season.
