(BVM) – Football is arguably the ultimate team sport. That theory has been proven to be correct time and time again over the course of NFL history.

The evidence comes in the form of the many all-time greats who never reached the pinnacle of their sport: a Super Bowl victory. From Hall of Fame quarterbacks to legendary running backs, dynamic wide receivers and feared defenders, many of the NFL’s greatest players were unable to hoist a Lombardi Trophy.

With that in mind, here are the top 10 NFL players to never win a Super Bowl.

Editor’s note: Cleveland Browns running back Jim Brown did not play in the Super Bowl era so he will not be included.
