NASCAR Cup Series’ best by car number: 20-29

(BVM) – Throughout its 75-year history, the NASCAR Cup Series has seen an impressive number of legendary drivers. There are plenty of racers that come to mind, ranging anywhere from Dale Earnhardt Sr. to Richard Petty.

Some notable recent talents are also included in NASCAR’s all-time greats, including the likes of Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and Kevin Harvick. One thing in common about those three: they all drove cars with a number in the 20s for a good portion of their careers.

Cars No. 20-29 have not only featured some tremendous drivers, but also some memorable paint schemes and sponsors that became recognizable through the success of the cars over the years. Here’s a look back at the accomplishments of the 20-29 cars throughout NASCAR Cup Series history prior to the 2023 season.
