Top 10 Arizona high school baseball players in Class of 2023
9. Grant Smith, RHP, Pinnacle
Smith has a dominant frame on the mound at 6-foot-5, 210 pounds and the arm talent to match. With a fastball that gets up to 92 mph and a strong slider as his secondary pitch, Smith is a nightmare to hit against. The right-handed pitcher is also a true athlete with 6.85 speed on the basepaths and a smooth swing at the plate. Smith – an Arizona State commit – is also high school teammates at Pinnacle with tight end Duce Robinson, one of the nation’s top football and baseball prospects.
Grant Smith (‘23, AZ) has made big pitches when needed out of the pen. Features an imposing 6-foot-5 frame. Predominately FB usage. Offering has been up to 89 mph. Gets on hitters quickly. Pairs well w/ sweeping, mid-70’s SL. @ASU_Baseball commit #PGWS pic.twitter.com/rPt7UAINU5
