Taylor Lewan cut by Titans; 5 best fits for the left tackle
2. Chicago Bears
It is no secret that the Bears offensive line struggled to protect the quarterback last season. Surrendering the fourth-most sacks in the league, most of the unit could use an overhaul in the offseason.
While Chicago likes what it has in current left tackle Braxton Jones, who just completed his rookie season, having a veteran presence and sound technician on the blindside could pay huge dividends for the further development of quarterback Justin Fields. Given Jones’ penchant for run blocking, he may be better suited on the right side while Lewan steps in on the left side for a team that could be ascending with the right pieces around Fields.
