WASHINGTON (BVM) – Quarterback Carson Wentz’s time in the nation’s capital didn’t last very long. The Washington Commanders cut the struggling quarterback after just one season with the team where he played in just eight games with seven starts.

During the campaign, Wentz threw for 1,755 yards with 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions. This comes just one year after he threw for 3,563 yards, 27 passing touchdowns and just seven interceptions as the starter for the Indianapolis Colts.

While Wentz has the profile of an elite quarterback at 6-foot-5, 235 pounds and is a former top-five pick, he has struggled since his sophomore season in the NFL, currently sitting with a 46-45-1 record.
