Carson Wentz cut by Commanders; Top 5 landing spots for QB
5. Arizona Cardinals
On paper, the Cardinals are not in need of a quarterback. Kyler Murray is entrenched as the long-term starter thanks to his contract and backup Colt McCoy still has two years on his deal.
However, Murray will likely not be able to play at the beginning of the year due to a torn ACL while McCoy is a 36-year-old QB who missed multiple games last year due to a concussion. With a new head coach and offensive coordinator, the Cardinals may want to get off on the right foot with a solid, young veteran under center so why not take a flier on a spot starting quarterback in Wentz to keep the team afloat while waiting for Murray’s eventual return.
