Carson Wentz cut by Commanders; Top 5 landing spots for QB
4. Los Angeles Rams
Much like the Cardinals, the Rams don’t seem to be in need of a quarterback with Matthew Stafford as the team’s signal-caller. However, like the Cardinals, the health of Rams quarterbacks was one of the team’s Achilles heels a year ago.
Though the Rams signed Baker Mayfield during the season last year, he is no longer under contract with the team, leaving Los Angeles with just Stafford. While Mayfield did an OK job in five games with four starts, he did only go 1-3 and was limited to just 850 yards through the air. With Wentz, head coach Sean McVay could have a reclamation project in a player who has all the physical intangibles but needs the proper coaching, something the offensive whiz could provide to create a high-end backup for Stafford.
