10. Maddax Peck, P, Bingham
Peck is a standout two-sport athlete, excelling both on the gridiron and the diamond for the Bingham Miners. However, his best play is definitely with a baseball.
The 6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed pitcher had a standout junior season last year, leading the Miners to a 23-7 record. While he did well at the plate with a .244 average, seven RBIs, five runs scored and a home run, Peck excelled on the mound. At the bump, Peck went 2-0 with a 1.53 ERA, 35 strikeouts and 18 walks in 11 appearances. This earned the junior Class 6A second-team all-state honors.
Expectations are high for Peck as he enters his senior campaign. The pitcher ranks as the No. 14 player in Utah in the Class of 2023 by Prep Baseball Report and the No. 10 player in the state by Perfect Game. On national signing day, Peck signed his National Letter of Intent to join the in-state Brigham Young University Cougars team. With a Division I college career in his future, Peck will look to show Cougars fans what to expect in the future.
