The 1974-75 NHL season was the Washington Capitals’ inaugural season, and the franchise got off on the wrong foot, winning just eight games. Out of a possible 160 points, they recorded 21 points. The Capitals rebounded and eventually became competitive, winning their first Stanley Cup in 2018.
