Top 10 Illinois high school baseball players in Class of 2023
8. Brady Louck, LHP, Plainfield East
Louck has meant everything to the Plainfield East program over the past few years. As a sophomore, the talented left-handed pitcher led the Bengals to their first-ever state title, striking out 12 batters in a win in the state semifinals, and going 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and run scored in the championship game. It was part of a sophomore season that saw the 5-foot-10, 170-pound southpaw go 6-3 with a 1.65 ERA and 90 strikeouts. While Plainfield East didn’t make the same run last year, Louck got even better with 75 strikeouts and an impressive 0.89 ERA. The USA Prime National team member will take his strong pitching arsenal to Florida State after flipping his commitment from Notre Dame last year.
